This week’s Market Message is going to have a different look to it…I will tell you why in a minute, but not without first telling you that this past week’s sale was a great one. We had a 60% sale and a large group of happy dealers taking away football memorabilia as our Touchdown Drive Promotion concluded!
Meanwhile, I would like to take a minute to let you know that I have stepped down from the General Manager position at EPI, and I am moving home to Portland after 5 great years in El Paso! I am happy to report that I will still be working with the McConkey Auction Group. In addition, Luke Pidgeon has been named General Manager here in El Paso. Many of you already know him from his past 3 years here as AGM, and the transition should be seamless. I couldn’t be more proud of him personally and I am confident about the success of EPI’s employees and customers going forward under his guidance. I encourage each of you to come in and say hello to Luke during your next visit to the auction.
In closing, I want to say thank you El Paso for making me feel so welcome over the years. While at EPI, I have had the chance to develop business and personal relationships I would never have experienced had I not moved here. It was a privilege working with everyone here at EPI and I will be excited to hear about the growth and personal accomplishments in the years to come. I will miss you all!
So for now, it is adios and not good bye.
